Drop Four Four In A Row Game
A four in a row game for your browser: play the computer or pass the phone to a friend.
How to play
Drop Four is a four in a row game on a classic upright board with 7 columns. You and your opponent take turns dropping a disc into a column, and the disc falls to the lowest empty slot. Line up four of your discs across, up and down, or on a diagonal to win the round. If the board fills up first, it is a draw.
Pick a mode before you start. You can play against the computer, play with a friend on the same device by taking turns, or sit back and watch two computer players go at each other. Type in names if you like, and they will show up in the turn messages.
When a round ends, Play again sets up a fresh board in the same mode, and Change mode takes you back to the menu.
Credits
Drop Four is a modified version of the open-source c4 by Kenrick, released under the MIT License. We removed the online mode, added Chinese text, changed the colors and adjusted the board for phone screens. The original copyright and license notice is included with the game files.
Controls
Desktop
Click a column to drop a disc there, or press keys 1 to 7.
Mobile
Tap the column where you want to drop your disc.
Tips
- 1Discs in the middle column can join more lines than discs on the edges, so start there.
- 2Before every move, check if your opponent has three in a line with an open slot they can reach next turn.
- 3Try to set up two threats at once. Your opponent can only block one of them.
- 4Watch which slot each disc will land in. A threat that needs a disc underneath it first is not ready yet.
