Square Sweep Tap Puzzle Game
A short tap puzzle game: shove squares into black holes until the board is empty.
How to play
Square Sweep is a minimalist tap puzzle game with 18 hand-made puzzles on a small grid. The goal is always the same: get every square off the board. How you do that depends on what kind of square you tap.
An arrow square moves one cell in the direction it points and pushes the squares in front of it along. If the last square in that line is pushed into a black hole, it disappears. A square marked with an X vanishes as soon as you tap it. Plain squares can't be tapped at all, so they only leave when something pushes them into a hole. Some puzzles also have squares that turn into a new black hole when you tap them.
Each puzzle gives you a fixed number of taps. Clear the board and you move straight on to the next one. Run out of taps, get stuck, or leave a square behind, and the puzzle resets so you can try again. Your progress is saved in the browser.
Credits
Square Sweep is a modified version of the open-source Black Hole Square by Quinten Clause, released under the MIT License. For physoe we unlocked every puzzle, added Chinese text and a mute button, and removed the original links. The original copyright and license notice is included with the game files.
Controls
Desktop
Click a square to use it. Drag right to reset the puzzle or go back, drag left to skip ahead.
Mobile
Tap a square to use it. Swipe right to reset or go back to an earlier puzzle, swipe left to skip.
Tips
- 1Count the taps you have before you start. The number is usually tight, so every wasted tap matters.
- 2Plain squares can only be pushed. Work out which arrow can carry each one into a hole.
- 3Tap X squares late if they sit in a line you still need for pushing.
- 4When a puzzle resets, look at the order you tried, not just the last tap.
